Converdan was founded in 2011 by Thomas Slivsgaard in Rødding in Southern Denmark. For three years in a row between 2018 and 2020 Converdan received the prestigious “Gazelle” award from Denmark’s leading business newspaper, Børsen, in recognition of the rapid growth we managed to deliver in that period. This growth lead to a move to our current home in Vojens where our 40-person organisation continues to flourish.
Our Danish heritage is the foundation for The Converdan Way, our unique way of working focussed on Ease of Doing Business, agile product development and rapid prototyping as the driver of better solutions for our customers. Since 2011 The Converdan Way has resulted in 135 distinct standard and customised products for customers throughout the world.
All of Converdan’s people work in Vojens, Denmark in a joint development and manufacturing facility from which 800MW of converters are shipped annually, a number that is growing every year. Production volumes range from 100s of units all the way up to tens of thousands annually for our high-runners.
Converdan masters a wide range of essential power electronic product development and manufacturing skills. These skills, combined with the technologies and product platforms we have developed over the last fifteen years enable shorter time-to-market and higher solution quality.
Manufacturing is done at our 3900m2 (42000 sq ft) facility in the south of Denmark. Our products comply to UL, CSA, and EN standards. We currently produce annually 800MW of converters, with capacity of more than 3GW. Converdan controls the entire supply chain from design to delivery, so in times when supply chain resilience is a bigger topic than ever before, you can rely on us.
During 2025 we finalised a growth strategy for Converdan, and in the coming years we’ll be driving the company in a very specific direction. We will solidify our position as the preferred European supplier of customer specific power converters for a broad range of applications.

Converdan is a part of the project “Battery Storage Concept: Battery Energy Storage Systems through integration of new and recycled batteries from Electro Mobility”. The project is co-funded by the European Union.
